Hotel Komune and Beach Club Bali ★★★★

The rooms and massage/beauty were excellent. The environ was very oretty. The feeling of security was first class. The staff were also excellent.

There was no fans in the restaurant.

The gym is wonderful and well equipped. I enjoyed my fitness classes there by an Indonesian instructor. Food is excellent, a great variety of healthy options. My absolute fav drink was cocopresso (coconut and espresso), the list was endless. The beach looks great for surfing, but it’s not suitable for a swim and even walking isn’t that pleasant, but this I knew in advance. A beautiful spa, had a lovely a treatment in there. I appreciated the silence boards there, the staff really wants to ensure you can have a quiet, relaxing rejuvenating time in this resort. A lot of toddlers around, but they all looked happy - who wouldn’t in such a lovely place?!

A bit far from the crowds and towns, but this is what I was looking for.

the health hub is great. tons of options if you're a vegan or vegetarian. also there are like a lot of people to help you everywhere. the gym is sooooo big. it's a dream for every sport enthusiast

I guess the only thing was the loud music at the pool by the beach and the price was very high but i guess that was because we were here around NY eve

This is the second time I have stayed here - staff even remembered!! I stayed in the beach front room with my own pool. Could see the surfers right from the room. Great for relaxing - this resort isn't close to anything, about 30 minutes from Sanur. Food is super healthy and delicious, and if you are j to gym and yoga- this is definitely the place for you. Had an issue with my room, and the staff fixed it up straight away.

Everything was excellent. The food and service was on point! Loved the view and being to able to relax around a pool with food and drink is so fun.

My only thing i would of liked, is a filtered water refill station. So we didn't need to buy water constantly. I always carry a drink bottle to save on bottles, plastic or glass, its all still single use. If you had a family it would be extremely hard and expensive to keep them hydrated.

Everything was of such a high standard we did not want to leave the property . It was a slice of calming paradise

Pool front rooms are well worth the upgrade. My 3rd stay here and the first time in the upgraded rooms. Staff is all extremely friendly and helpful and everything is always clean. Will be returning again.

Not much not to like. Complaining about a property being big and spacious and having to walk a little bit is not really a complaint.

This place was outstanding, the best place I’ve ever stayed very comfortable and didn’t need to leave the joint as it had everything anyone would need

We held our daughter's wedding at Komune on Nov 4th. The hotel organised the whole lot. Excellent coordination and quality. Beautiful location overlooking beach, which always had good surf for the guys. The staff are so friendly and many available to always help. Food fantastic with two restaurants available Everyone had spa treatments the day before. Highly recommend for wedding destination

A bit remote from other restaurants and shops for walking but drivers always available at reasonable price

- Had inclusive areas to use like two large pools, gym, outdoor gym and free day beds. - modern look to beachfront rooms, comfortable beds and thorough cleaning from room service whom proactively replenished supplies and water in room - two restaurants for dining as well as the poolside are that you can easily bill to room so no need to carry cash.

- issues with communicating with some staff and not feeling that they were helpful. We had checked in early and were happy to lounge at pool if room wasn’t ready. Advised room was ready and when about to use pool towels in room noticed they had been flipped over and folded with makeup and lipstick smears all over. When I rung for new towels they were confused and had to have me march down and show them what I had meant didn’t particularly feel reassured that it wouldn’t happen again and was told more towels would be brought over soon. - we booked a day trip for the next day but then on the night before came down with Bali belly we had rung at 8pm the night before advising to postpone the trip the following day at 8amand was told that would be ok by the staff at reception. Come 8am the next day we were rung by the staff x2 asking our whereabouts for the tour as the driver had been there already waiting. Eventually this was amended but created some awkward tension given this is the second occurrence. - That same day later on a man knocked on the door to put a mosquito coil in we told him to leave and were not interested given our state but he continued to knock. I couldn’t see a do not disturb sign to be found but surely if you ask them to leave they shouldn’t pester.

Staff and food excellent Out of ten , I would rate it as eleven ! Can’t top that tick of approval GM Wayne first class when I had a personal problem , very professional and amiable

Komune was THE perfect place to start our trip in Bali. Great place for kids! My favourite thing about Komune is the STAFF! The service was incredible. The rooms were super quiet and comfortable and the facilities were excellent. The food was delicious, the coffee was amazing and we truly loved everything about our stay.

I like the swimming pool for guest and the healthy restaurant.

I didn't like AC because when we stayed sometimes AC can turn off even we didn't do it

The staff is very helpful. They manage to serve breakfast at 04:30 am as requested even though their kitchen usually start at 5am. I need earlier breakfast because I was participating in the GFNY event.

I choose this hotel simply because it is near to Rumah Luwih, host of the event GFNY Bali. The hotel is comfy, but it's location is quite remote. Looking for a decent lunch and dinner outside the hotel could be a problem. Good thing is the meals in the hotel is quite good in term of taste and value.

The resort was PERFECT. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the room was extremely comfortable (especially with the pool attached) and delicious food (something for everyone). We didn't want to leave :)

Location, amenities, food and services. Surfing the was great.

Staff members and service were a little hit and miss. Some activities were not delivered as promised. (BBQ and wings evening). Some staff were a little panicky (we didnt pay for a $2 water after settling another bill and the staff had a bit of a panic.) Security at the pool was a bit “in your face”. Could have been a bit more relaxed. Lack of access to fresh water to drink (without being charged) was a real issue given the climate. Most of the door locks stuck which was a bit of a shame as the rooms were amazing.

Quiet. Very friendly staff. Beach location is beautiful. Reasonably cheap - good meal will only set you back about $20 to $30 AUD (including drinks) for two people.

Nice, quiet and relaxed resort. If you are looking for a busy night life, this is not the place.

The food!!!!!!!! And the staff were amazing. We asked to have our rooms made up and we came back to our rooms to even find our clothes folded!

Just a bit of noise from outside, but we loved how all the guests were considerate towards each other. Really added a community vibe to our stay.

Staff: very welcoming, courteous and well trained. Every single person that we interacted including front desk, bell desk, restaurants, housekeeping was simply fantastic. They go way beyond the call of duty to make sure you are comfortable. Property: barring the room itself (see below) the property itself is fantastic. Great pool, excellent gym and very well maintained grounds. The Keramas beach has lovely black sand and fantastic waves. Great for surfing. Not recommended for swimming and not safe for kids though.

We checked into Komune for 2 nights after spending 4 nights at a fabulous hotel in Nusa Dua. We decided on the property based on the fabulous reviews on TripAdvisor and the fact that we wanted to stay at a beachfront hotel. The checkin was smooth and the front desk staff were great. But we were in for a shock when we got to our room. The room is extremely small for a family of 3 (wife and a son aged 4). After we moved our bags in, there was hardly any place to even walk around. There are is no space even for a cupboard. Only a ledge, a drawer of some kind and an aluminum road with hangers! The bathroom has a "rain shower". No other tap or hand shower. Giving my kid a bath without getting wet was impossible! We really couldn't believe we were paying $150 / night for this! We called up the reception and asked for an upgrade. We were offered a "discounted" upgrade to their beachfront suite if we were willing to pay an additional $125 a night. To put the rates into perspective - we paid a little under $100 a night for our hotel in Nusa Dua where we had a beautiful junior suite with an ensuite bath tub, a lovely sit out deck with sun beds and gourmet a la carte breakfast! All the great reviews are from folks that have stayed in the beachfront villa which I am sure is great. If only the hotel had told us that they do not recommend their deluxe suites for families, we would have skipped this and found another property. But they did not. The deluxe room is mainly for surfers either traveling as a couple or for friends that want to share a room. The quality of surfing would then probably make the price of the hotel worth it.
